help needed to fabricate battery tray apron

    I uploaded the pictures showing how far gone my battery tray apron is. I am going to need some input and pictures of your guys' apron with and without the tray so I can make a piece for welding. I already have a brand new battery tray kit for it.

    cut out the rust, make a piece the size of the hole and weld it in. dress it up and paint it...:thumbs2:

    This repair wasn't pretty but, like yours, a shiny new battery tray hides it anyway. This was one of my first attempts at welding. Got a LITTLE better. :oops:

    I cleaned it up, primed it, applied seam sealer, and painted over it. Guess I didn't get a picture of the finished repair.

    ok thanks for the pics so far. what I don't know is which holes on the tray are for bolts.

    looks like i know which way the tray goes and all the pics help now, but I'm not sure about where those clips are attached. I guess I'll have to weld a nut on the bottom of the patch somewhere. does this piece just sit flush up against the core support from the factory? no welds or anything?
