help with installing Jazz racing seats

    I plan to buy to Jaz plastic drag seats to replace the bench seat in my maverick,can anyone who has did this install explain to me how they mounted the seats,the mounting brackets jegs and summit sells are for a flat floor board ,I still have stock floor pans!!

    I had that setup in mine at one point. The angle brakets are adjustable enough to get them about right. They just don't move.

    ok thanks!! I plan to run seat adjusters as well mounted between the seat and mounting brackets

    We used to place a flat bar up front and a piece of angle aluminum at the back spaced the angle aluminum so it would be level

    '72 Maverick, 347 c.i., w/ dual quads, TKO 600 5-speed transmission, back halved w/ 4-link, '16 F150, 5.0 Coyotte, regular cab, shortbed, lowered 3/5 & 1-owner '79 Trans Am.
    Here is a picture or two of my installation. I found 'dimples' on either side of the tunnel where the inside bolts would have been had my car been equipped with bucket seats from the factory. I used Summit steel angle brackets, sliders and some plate steel I had laying around. For the difference in floor height I used some 1" square tubing cut to fit. I also used Grade 8 hardware and large washers on the bottom of the floor pan where my new bolt locations were. They 'sit' pretty good but I don't think I would like them for longer trips.

    Yeah they don't look all to comfortable. Is there any padding at all?

    The padding is built in to the cover but its thin. I'm thinking about getting some foam padding to attach to the back of the center section of the cover. But for driving around town the seats are very comfortable.
