Alright, I had posted a photo of my Maverick and if you can remember it does not have any wheels. I cant really afford new wheels right now. Yesterday I was on the high way and I saw a Jeep I think with no wheels, but it seemed the center part of it was painted a shiny black. Has anyone done this? It seems to kind of make the wheel look a little nicer.... so i wanted to see if any of you have done this and could give me some instructions on how to make my wheels look a tad bit prettier :162:

You can buy some of that chrome paint and paint you wheels with it. Of if you have some dog dish hubcaps, you can paint the rims body color and install the hubcaps.

Confused me for a minute. I thought you meant you had NO wheels at all.
I painted a set of 97 F-150 wheels for a truck one, Used the aluminum paint on them. turned out nice.

If you don't have the money for wheels, I would find some nice looking hubcaps.

Just get a good quality black paint.
Wash your wheels, scuff them up a little bit and spray.

I used to paint my rims with Rust-olem gloss black and paint the hubs either white or silver, use chrome lug nuts (about a buck each).Sometimes you can find used trim rings real cheap. Just shiny black rims with chrome nuts looks good.Thats what we used to do when we were young and could not afford wheels.
