pulled the driver wheel and then the bearings and all well ive never done this but i know it shouldnt be this way the bearings look ok i think. the back one has a couple ridges on the rollers. the part thats on the rotor( since i have discs) then the metal where the bearings sit in the front it ok and the rear ridges as well like the bearing. the center section of the rotor on the edges are chipped as well as on the side torward either side of where the bearings sit. looks like if someone had hit it with a hammer or something dont see how that could be thou and in the grease there was a couple hard chips of metal not huge but i mean like i had to double check to see what it was. now i should replace the bearings right? and the rotor? i havent done the other side yet because if i need to replace all this side ill have to do the other side too. i need this car as my daily driver and im low on cash cheapest fix will help thanks
well i took off the other side and have been doing a lot of searching and center section of the rotor and hub as long as it isnt cracked should be ok. is this true???? and my bearings i can replace and they should come with new cups that i hammer press into the rotor. is this also right??? from what i can kind this should be right and all i need is new bearings for both sides just trying to make sure before i drive out to track down the parts and hopefully get this all done tonight so i can drive to work tomorrow.
You should only have to replace the bearings and the race (ring) that comes with it. Your rotor should be okay.
