Either that or the front seal overheated and blew. The guys who put my T-brake in put a high-temp polymer seal in because of the heat that's generated whilst holding the brake. If I find out what let go, I'll post it up.
Looks like a little bit of smoke appears towards the front of the car then it gets bigger before the heat from the headers ignite the fluid. Either way it is a bummer
Ever seen a torqueflite let go on the transbrake? http://forum.sssa.se/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1142798725/11#11 Rick, is yours a C4?
Yikes! I saw similiar pictures of a C4 flexplate break apart. 'Looked about the same as that one. Yes, mine is a C4, and those pictures just reminded me to get a blanket - SOON.
Look a couple pics down...what is that red liquid coming out of the bell housing? Almost looks like tranny fluid, but it is not a deep brownish color like mine j/k
WOW that must haave been a bad day ive never seen automatic come apart like that.....i know couple guys who have 4x4 pulling trucks and i seen there bellhousing and clutch come though the floor board and stick in the dash
A friend of mine is a big Mopar nut his Torqueflite let go like that but he was lucky and it only destroyed the floor of the car.
now why the heck would that guy t-brake the car when the other dude hadn't even staged yet  maybe he didn't want to sleep at the light :16suspect
...and the guy even had the gonads to want to throw down on the other guy (claiming that he "burned him down").
rookie , guess he thought he would miss the light if he waited for the other guy to stage , so he wanted to git-r ready , not the best idea:16suspect
