hey all! I'm working a side job clearing out an estate, long story short I just purchased a 1970 Maverick 250ci automatic from the original owner with only 60k miles! the car had been sitting since 1998 and the lady who owns the property said I could have it for pennies on the dollar. Ended up getting it running in about 20 minutes and didn't even have to touch the fuel system since the tank was drained and pristine. not bad for my 3rd car ever, I plan to drive this car daily throughout college.

check that engine again, it may be a 170-200 .

For the first half of 1970, the 105hp 170cid was joined by a faster 200cid I6 automatic or manual.

Been sitting that long, all rubber parts need replacement from brake master seal to seals on rear wheel cylinders and most likely everything in between.

Nice find. I had a trailer hitch just like that on my Sprint for years. They were made by Valley. I used mine a lot and years later when I took it off I found the support bar that bolts to the trunk floor in front of the gas tank had fatigue cracked the metal most the entire outline of the bar. You might want to check that out.
