    Hi i am new here i have a 70 grabber. named Lucas. anyone know what is a reasonable price for parts/labor for a new transmission? sometimes a mechanic will try to get over on a girl. have a lovely weekend!:bananaman

    WELL IT DEPENDS ON WHAT KIND OF TRANSMISSION , AUTO OR STANDARD . THEN IF THE MECHANIC HAS TO REBUILD IT OR JUST INSTALL IT . LET ME KNOW MORE AND I CAN HELP YOU WITH IT.

    thanks very much! fortunately it was not my transmission, the gear shift was just disconnected. thank you for your help though!

    Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
    i have a friend that has a tranny shop in The City Of Commerce off the 5 fwy.
    he will give you a good deal if you tell him i sent you there! he just redid mine a few days ago and he will be doing my other one within the next two weeks!

    also where are you located.. sometimes we have maverick get togethers...
