Hey, I live in Seattle, I'm 16, I'm a girl. I love cars. Especially badass old cars. So I got a 1972 Maverick. It was born over 30 years ago, so naturally it needs some help. Everything mechanically is fine, because I paid 900$ for that to be the case. But now, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on paint and exhaust and **** to make it more badass. Could someone help?

im from washington but also 16 and fairly new at this, ive foudn the best way to get paint and such done if possible is someone you know personally, i have a few people that are friends or parents of friends or family friends that do paint and such, i also have one of them teaching me how to paint, maybe sometime i can paint your car if you still need it im pretty close to seattle. If you need anything fabricated im pretty handy with various cutting tools and all different kinds of welders too. not certified but am going to get certification soon.

:Welcome: Cool! I was 16 when I took ownership of my 73 Comet GT, man, the memories.
Of corse my mom will tell you she gave me the car, but she doesnt remember asking me for $300.00 when I got my first job I could drive it to :16suspect . I also had to bring it back to life, thus my automotive repairing hands on training began.
Flywheel, ujoints, spark plugs, wires, and yes-points. Hope you have as much fun as I did racing around the neighborhood picking up as many friends that I could cram into the car and tring to beat the first period bell.:drive: .

:Welcome: to the board. Glad to have you here. We have various MCCI Mini Meets around the Seattle area. I usually post them on this board under Mini Meets...Anyone is welcome to come, would be nice if you were an MCCI member. What engine do you have in your car? I work at Midas in north Seattle (130th & Hwy 99). I have dual exhaust on my 302 & my 200. Yes, dual exhaust on a 6 cly. Doesn't sound to bad either. I used turbo mufflers on it. I used performance muffers on the 302. Just depends on how loud you want it. Can't wait to meet you & your car. We have a lot of members up here in Seattle. Very nice cars also. You won't find a nicer bunch of people. Everyone is willing to help in anyway they can. Most of us have parts for Mavericks/Comets also. So, if you are in need of anything, just ask. Someone will probably have it. You can get lots of ideas for your car also. Pics, we love pics....

    Welcome

:Welcome: Glad to see you bought a Maverick. You will love it. It's nice to see young people buying older cars rather than going to the ricers. Another is saved.
