Hood latch support

    Has anyone removed the support going from the hood latch to the bottom of the core support ? If so, how did you reinforce it ? I would like to have the extra room in there for an intercooler but I don`t want anything collapsing over time.

    I doubt it will make any signifigant structural difference. If I remember right it does help hold the frt valance in place. So you may have to fab a braket from the intercooler to the valance.

    Wouldn't the inter-cooler itself be rigid enough to supply the reinforcement?

    Tom Longerbeam has hood pins on his comet GT and removed the center support.
