That would fall under the heading of customization. I could probably do it, but the metal work involved to make it right would be very time consuming. I guess if I were to try this I would get some measurments from a grabber hood and cut the areas out before the scoops and behind where it rises. Then I would fabricate the pieces, 2 for each side and a total of 4. Then I would weld it up. Hardest part for me would be the little roll in the hoods where the scoops actually rest. Might have to get with a tinsmith on accomplishing that. My guess on time it would take me 60 hours to do it right.

Oh, I dont know, a little silicone and lots of bondo. shouldnt take that long.

All kidding aside, I just thought, why not take a grabber hood and graft the nose of a comet hood to it? I got a grabber hood, anyone got a Comet hood with a good nose?

Actually, I'm getting a Comet hood from Craig, (right craig?), for my GT. I think I will try this with the 2 hoods I got. Should be interesting.

Didn't someone say they were going to try this a couple of years ago? Wonder what ever happened to that project. Be interesting to find out.

Craig, can you bring the hood to Carlisle? Not sure if it will fit in your wagon or if you will have the room.

Gonna have the Maverick done? If you ride with your brother, just tie it to the top of his car. I'm sure he won't mind.

Probably will ride with my brother. He really wants to bring his car.

I won't have the Maverick done by then either, so I will just ride with him and save the 12 mpg expense.
