MaverickMan sells hand made CF hoods that are super lightweight.
The Grabber version wouldn't gain you any hood clearance, but he has a 3" cowl version as well.

Do a search for him and you will find his website in his sig.

I have one of his hoods on my 72...
I cannot say enough good things about it or Derrick.

he wasn't at the et finals. the scoop i've got on my maverick is from US BODY. they are in florida. the hood was almost $400. not too bad but the shipping was a killer. about $160 to az. the cowl induction hood that mavman sells is nice, the shipping won't kill you and you'll gain about 3", i believe. my next hood will be a cowl induction hood.:)

They cost more than fiberglass, but they are stronger and don't require any trimming and fitting like FG hoods. You don't even have to paint CF and it looks good!
So you gotta figure the cost is the same or less if you get a crappy FG hood.
