this may be a repeat post, hope not though. Does anyone know how many inches a 71 grabber hood stripe starts from the back of the hood and from the front? I really need this info for my painter so he can use the stencil kit and put my stripe back on. Thanks much
We took a picture of my hood before it was painted and he reproduced my stripe free-hand from the picture. Not sure if he measured the distances or not ...
If He Has A Stencil Kit Won't It Line Up In The Front And Only Go So Far In The Back To Make The Lines Correct? Just Wondering..........
unfortunately it is an outline stencil. not a whole hood cutout style. it could easily be over an inch too far forward or back . the center side to side should be obvious enough for him.
dmhines, your car is just like mine was and should be again, just with the rims of your yellow one instead. the painter did an awesome job reproducing the hood stripe from scratch, how does it look compared to the photo? is the back end almost exact? i actually measured mine before it was stripped, unfortunately we moved in the process.
