Hood years

    I have a 75 2 door and want to replace the hood. I found one in a junk yard. I looked at the car but dont know the year but it has 4 lug wheels. Will a hood from any year maverick fit? IF it is a comet do I only need to get the grill and the comet hood and wverything will fit? I looked at it once when it was in the weeds and now it has been moved but I didnt relook at it after it moved. What should I expect to pay for it?

    Any year should work fine. Dont pay much for one, they are everywhere, I guess I would pay $25 -$50 for a good one. I have 3 here if you want one!! :)

    Not sure about the comet hoods........

    Any hood will fit, however, there are 3 different prop rod locations. You may have to get the matching rod along with the hood if its different than yours. A Comet hood will also bolt up, but the grill, stone guard, and bumper are all shaped to match the hood. Guess it depends on your likes if you want to go that route.
