    lol, j/k...
Don't post up anything like that until after the bid is over! You never know who you may attract.
    Ask me how I know....

    Eddie,

I'm not sure but it looks like the #7 cylinder tube would hit the shock tower. These are for a Mustang so you may have a clearance problem. Does anybody else out there run this header on a Maverick?

What is the reason for the spaces in the flanges? Looks kinda strange, and has a different 3/1 and 2/2 split on each one. Is there something on the head that these are cut out to fit?

Cool!!! I am relatively new to this, but that sounds like quite an improvement on the 6901s I had to install in one piece.

So, if they are 2-piece, am I correct to assume that you mount the front two pipes (on the 2/2 set) first, then slide the rear two pipes down from the top, and they fit into the slip in parts seen in the pic? What do you do with the slide in areas where the two front pipes connect? Do you have to weld them closed?

thats the idea i believe with the 2 piece , i think it makes sense for an easier install in tight places(trust me a 351w is TIGHT) i dont think you have to weld them , the way i understand that when bolted to the head the pipe has nowhere to go....you can put them on your 302 w/ spacers between the head and flange so that they clear the bell housing, couple guys have them on there 302, i think rick book has them , stephen moore has them and im sure the list gos on, i just know by reading old post...do a seach on hooker 6208 on here you will get alot of info

Lots of headers install in pieces.
Personally I like them that way.
    Makes life easier.
You don't have to weld anything.
    It all just slip fits.
Some even have all 8 pipes single and then you slip the collector on after the pipes are on the engine. This usually have tabs, 2 per side, that bolt the collector to the pipes. Nothing to it.
You could even do it to 6901s with a cutting wheel and slip on collectors. Or convert your collectors to slip on with a welder to put tabs and i/d type pipe sleeves.

    Hey Eddie,
Make sure you find the install write up that focuses on the grinding and clearancing of the car. There is another write up I have seen that the installer does the mods on the header, not the car, so he ruins a good set of tubes IMO.

Btw: You got a kickarse deal!
I would have been tempted to bid on them... but I am late :(

    J/K
I wouldn't do you that way.
