Okay guys I know a few of you are using the hooker 6901 headers. Now I want to know how in the h... you got them to fit. The passengenger side is perfect. the Driverside I am struggling to see where there is clearance. LOL. I think I can make some clearance at the firewall and possibly the shock towers. But the power steering ram is impossible unless there is some sort of drop bracket at the frame. the other issue is how to continue to use the column shift. Help!! thanks

Besides the floor shift and the drop down bracket, you need to lift the left side of the engine up about 4 inches. There has been someone on here that made the column shifter work. You might be able to find some info in the search feature. :)

thanks Don, I assume you mean lifting motor just to get the header in on the leftside.

Any info on the cable conversion for the column shifter?? If I do switch to a floor shifter will I need to reinforce the floor? Any recommendations on a shifter? I have a B&M ratchet in another car and it takes a little force to move it, no binding just the action in general.

I have a B&M Megashifter in mine and it shifts pretty easy. :)

Nah...The collectors will hang low enough for you to run 3" pipes if you want to.

okay when I have the tranny bolted in the motor must tip a fair amount back then. right now the crossmember welded to the body elipses the collector by 3/4". You wouldn't have any pictures to share?
