Well...maybe not hot...but body work. A couple of before, during and after shots. Hell I only skimmed and sanded the big one SIX times, before I felt it was good enough to shoot again...and it's still not perfect...but it will be
Some more....the little dings are a real pain to find even blocking and guide coating it... I did manage to find a few more right after I shot the second coat of primer ...I immediately marked em.
Pretty tedious work, especially when you're learning as you go. I will tell you one thing though, if it comes out as good as it looks in your pics, I'll be PROUD of ya!!!
Watch It When You Mark Them I Did That Once And The Marker Came Up In The Paint But It Sure Made It Easy To See Where The Dents Used To Be!
I'll ditto Ray's sentiments with one little difference. "I will tell you one thing though, if it comes out as good as it looks in your pics, I'll LET you do mine!!! Very good work, Rick. You're giving me something to shoot for. I may wanna be just like you when I reach your age.
Amazing,, I have to close my eyes when I run my hand across a panel too. You are right Rick,, it is not easy work, but with experience it becomes easier. I went and bought 1 pint of base, a qt of base, 1 qt of clear and a catalyst yesterday. Cost me $169.00,, cant believe how expensive materials are getting. When I started painting cars back in the stone age you could count on materials costing a hundred bucks. Dan
It is looking good Rick, one thing you can try that I do is use a shop rag when you feel across it, it seems to amplify the feeling. I used to close my eyes, now I look at a girlie/car calender
Looks great! I don't think I could ever handle doing body work. My patience wears thin way to quick. Can't wait to see it done!
