Stef, Thanks for the drag-racing forum. Hopefully this forum will take off with posts from the serious racers along with anyone wanting to learn the hobby (no, you don't have to be fast). Well, DAB lives 3 hours away from Houston, I live IN Houston and he got see more racing than I did at Houston's Fun Ford Weekend. Sorry I missed you, Doug. I HAD to take that two-day job on the hopes I'd get paid for it. I went Friday night and shot the schtuff with my fellow car club members. They were all fired up and ready to race the next day - not knowing it was gonna be a down-pour all day and that it would eventually be postponed till Sunday. The way I understand it, they had a good time drinking Texas Cool-Aid and bench racing all of Saturday. As I mentioned, I couldn't be there on Sunday, but Doug somehow managed to be there (were they selling Mavericks?). Sorry I couldn't come out earlier, Doug. I did get to see one Maverick - 9.XX 1/4 mile pass. I didn't have time to see who it was. He'd been there the last two events though (I recognized the car). Anywho, thanks again for the forum, Stef. I look forward to seeing lots of posts in here. -Rick
