It seems would be nice way clean up and organize the Parts and Cars for Sale threads by having the two separated. Alot times if you are looking for one or the other, and you don't want to see both when going through the ads. :2cents:

I think we talked about this before, and quite a few other people thought it as a good idea also, but it was never implemented.

Sounds good to me... I've seen it elsewhere.
But at the same time, it's just more bandwidth and not that much of a deal really

I asked about this in the spring and did not get much of a response. Ill make the change when I get a chance, but I doubt it will be before next week.

Not trying to thread-jack here, and I hope I don't upset anyone for posting this here, but I would like to add that I think the Techical section should be part of the General Maverick/Comet section. Afterall, the biggest part of owning these cars involves repairing, restoring, and upgrading them. I see no need for a separate section to talk about that stuff. Am I the only one here with this opinion?...

I think the Technical section needs to be it's own section like it is now. If it and general were mixed, I think it would be a mess.

Care to explain why you think that would be?...

I just think they serve two complete diffrent purposes. It would be the same diffrence IMO as mixing Parts Interchange and New Members forums. They are just diffrent.

Well I think I disagree. I don't they are two different purposes at all. The main topic should be acquiring, repairing, restoring, upgrading, and modifying these cars. That is what owning a 30+ year-old car is all about. I don't think we need a seperate section to say "hey, I saw a Maverick on eBay today", or " Maverick crashes through a window in a Carl's JR. commercial". I think all of it, including technical discussions can be discussed in the same section. Just my opinion. I'm curious to know if anyone else here would agree with me...

For indexing purposes, it would be much better to keep the two separate as searching for pertenant info would be easier and quicker.

I tend to think the technical area should be separated like it is now. I am a member on another board, and everything is combined in technical and nontechnical, and I don't care for it. :2cents:
