how do you remove this trim??

    you have to remove the interior panel to get to the nut which secures it from underneath.

    If you take out the back seat and pull off the rear side panel, you can get at it pretty easy. There is a stud on the bottom of the "boomerang" that holds it on. I think the nut is like an 11/32". If your arms are long enough, you can get at it from the trunk, but it is way up there and quite a reach to get at.

    There is also a Phillips head screw at the top that you get at from the outside of the car. Once those 2 fasteners are removed, the thing kinda lifts up at the front to clear the stud then pulls out away from the car.
