I have basically all the parts for my car now and plan to try and have it together pretty soon. The car is a 72 Maverick 2dr basically full weight I have a 351w .040 over and a new set of speed pro flat top pistons so 9.5-10 to 1 compression basically stock c9 heads with screw in studs guideplates stock valves comp cams extreme energy cam .523 lift knockoff of performer rpm intake already had and on a budget 780 holley hopefully a set of roller rockers duraspark ignition setup not sure on headers yet c4 tranny with a ptc converter that should stall at 3100-3600 rpm 8 inch rear with 4.62 gears and slicks. I am hoping for around a 7.50-7.70 in the 1/8 after all the bugs are out of it. Later on I would like to put around a 100 shot and run low 7's maybe. By what I have read My combo is good for mid 7's
the heads will be your hold back. friend has nearly identical set up and wouldnt get out of 8's, changed to after market heads and went 7.40
