I,ve been looking for a good body to install a 393 stroker in and ran across a
72 comet gt. It has a straight body and good shock towers and rails but it needs floor pans due to rusted. No engine or trans but was a 302 3spd .
All pieces are there including original buckets, hood scoop ,and bumpers which are straight. Guys wife says he willing to sell it but I have a feeling they think its worth alot. Before I go back I would like to have a general idea of the value.
    Thanks,Howard

my 71 2dr has a pretty dencent body, there is bondo smoothing out a lot of dents, the engine bay is real nice, so are my floors and the rest of the body. I only have 2 spots of rust and I got the car for 500, drove it home if that gives you some insight

Wow, sounds like a great find! I don't know if anyone really has a guide to go by with these cars, it's kinda like a gut thing. If the car is in pretty good shape overall, then it might be worth a little. Just my opinion though, (and this is just me) If it is a real Comet GT, with no motor/trans, good body, but bad floor pans, I would offer 500-700 at first and go from there. But then again, I'm cheap! Good luck man! Someone on here can give you a much better answer, but that's just what (I) would try! Good luck! Preston

Howard, it is has the interior, and everything else is in tact, I would
guess between $500-$1,500 depending on how much other stuff is
    useable.

I cannot see paying a lot for a car with rusted floorpans and no motor & tranny. Maybe $300-$500 max...

don't pay more then 300 or so. If you don't need a Mav right this sec. Just check around for the next month or 2 and see if you can find one super cheap. There are always a few of them on ebay.

Your life will be a lot easier if you get something from the sun belt with no rust at all.
