it would probably be cheaper and end up with better results by putting on a new roof skin.

If the headliner is out, and the roof is not rusty, I dont see how replacing the roof could be cheaper that fixing the dents in yours. Considering all the bracing, cutting, and welding involved when replacing a roof. Since prices vary with area and shops, I would visit a few and get their opinions. While your there, look over their work.

How many dents like that do you have? That would help me decide weather to skin or "Dolly".

it covers almost the whole roof, it looks like some kids were playing on it, but the dents are no worse than the one i showed you, a lot of them a a lot better, but it's over the whole roof

The roof on my mav was a lot worse then your's . I used a slap file an dolly to repair mine . My roof was push down 2 1/2" in the center with 4 pressure crowns in each corners . An 4" oil can in middle . Just take your time an if needed find an old body to give you advice on repair

    GOOD LUCK JAY

Radmav gives great advice.. do it yourself with hammer and dolly. Just work the metal gradually. Do NOT get in a hurry. If you have more money than time, pay to get it done, if the scenario is reverse, do it yourself and get some hammers and dollys from harbor freight. You will learn something and have some bragging rights. Hot rodding can be more rewarding when you learn and do the stuff yourself.
