How to hack up your shock towers...

    Here is how a previous owner hacked up the shock towers in order to grease the upper a-arms. WOW!!

    This is on a 1972 I parted out this weekend.

    When I clicked on the thread I thought it might be something like the 2 guys here last year that cut 3 of the 4 sides out of the shock towers to get a 460 in.

    That seems pretty mild compared to those two cars... ;)

    I've got a 73 v8 grabber that someone hacked out 1 tower and welded on the v8 frame stands....to install a 351m.What a waste.

    Guess I got lucky my 1965 mustang towers were not cut and neather were the towers in my 1972 mav. To bad the mav towers are coming out!! If anybody wants to call dibs on them let me know.

    Have to figure, cars are basically figured to last about 10 years max by the average consumer, and that is a large figure. Still, stupid, but probably kept the car on the road a few extra years.
