If you think drag racing isn't won or lost at the light take a close look at this time slip.

Get into some heads up racing...light doesn't matter as much. Course you will have to go about 6 or 7 seconds in the quarter with your tube chassis setup. Hey maybe you could just add a 200mm turbo:rofl2:.

Your car sure seems consistent and your light was pretty darn good. The racers are just getting better and better these days.

You see Pro stock on TV...often they talk about how close a race was. Difference at the stripe was a very close .01 second. Guess what? That's a MILE in bracket racing! I've lost numerous races with a finish margin of .0000. Lost a race just last week with a .509 light and ran 7.958 on a 7.95. Go figure....guy next to me had a .5002 light and ran dead on with a zero. Sometimes it's your day, sometimes it aint.

Just this past sunday I broke out by .00002 to lose the whole shebang.

Ray the guy in the left lane dialed in a 5.26 and ran dead on at 5.260, I dialed a 5.92 and ran a 5.935 and won....he lost it on the light, he cut an .071 to my .021 and it was all over.
I got my hat handed to me in the next round though, fell asleep on the light AND broke out with a 5.90 :90:

Sorry about the slip, print was real light and I tried to darken it up some.

While I'm not fast, here's another win/lose at the tree story;FFW,Commerce,Ga.I'm dialed a 14.64 up against an ex cop car crown vic dialed at 17.71.He leaves,I watch,my tree comes down and....red eye!I say WTH and stand on it,catch the crown vic by the 1000' mark and trip the lights about 2 carlengths ahead of him. Can't remember his time or RT,but I remember my run all too well-14.6400 with a -.001 red!

well, unfortunately i have a crummy story similar to that. Last weekend i ran an all run race at my local track (I footbrake) third round i had a .500 light and let a dragster get by me at the finishline. For some dumb reason the word (breakout)ran through my head and i lifted 7.214 on a 7.20 i did the math and all i needed was a 7.209 to win and it should have ran a 7.208 the margin of victory was.005. THAT SUCKS!!
