I really like those shelby razor wheels..except for those annoying rivit-bolt thingys around the edge. Could a rim repair shop work 'em all down or do you guys think maybe just a darker grey powdercoat in that area to hide them? I guess if all else fails..I could live with it. These are what I'd like for my project.

Wouldn't be worth buying new wheels, and then trying to modify them. Just find something you really like.

I agree w/ Dave abt just try and find some to ur liking - I wud not do anything to physically alter the wheel.

Looks like those new wheels would have a rally style about them if the rivets were gone. Ever thought about beginning with those and playing around with some paint and trim rings?

I agree. There are a lot of wheels out there that appeal to me except those rivet/bolt heads that seem to be popular. I would think they could be machined off if they are cast into the wheel. Some are actually a short shaft bolt that are pressed into a shallow hole. They could be removed and the holes filled. Anything is possible if your willing to spend the money. If you know of a local wheel repair place, take a picture of the wheel down there and inquire about the possibility of smoothing them out.
