i got other problem beside smog my exhaust manifold keeps breaking on my 3rd replacement and my theory is that it could be my head valve is busted and causes the exhaust flow burns alot to cracks the manifold.....
so i got the new head and hoping wont come the same problems.... lol if it doesnt then it could be the carburator? but at first my dad thought it was catalyctic converter and made holes in it so the flow can pass through smoothly? lol... before he did that he was driving it first when he bought the car for me and didnt have the horsepowers to climb the hill and the loud bang occured and then the pipe was glowing red. that was the time he thought it was the converter wasnt the right part and made holes in it lol... the car improved on the hill but then im pretty sure it was something else :( i drove it like that ever since who knows.... didnt have time to check it because college til i finished finally was driving it ever since like that... now there some changes, over heats, eating alot of gas now like if it was running like a v8 and hardly idles had to give some gas to keep it running.... but im surprised the car held on to me ever since.... but it feels like im killing it...

Sounds like giving it a tune up(plugs, cap, rotor, wires) flushing the coolant, belts and accessories(alternator, water pump) and rebuilding the carb could definitely help your car.

Found the problem sorry been away for a long time I let my car sleep deeply in the garage and then finally had chance to work on it. I started taking parts apart was planning to rebuild the engine. Then I found something of what hidden inside the head valve cover.

I was about to rebuild the engine but good thing I didn't lol.... It was the reason why it breaking the exhaust manifold the valve got stuck and stayed open. The pistons and the block was in good shape thank god.... Then I went to junkyard found same engine only took the head valve with the cover and the exhaust manifold. Cleaned it up a little and put it on. Next day omg... it ran so smooth! Took it to get it smog man... it was 100% passed!

Then a year later my electrical starting to fail on me sometime my turn signal stopped working... my gas gauge meter was doing funny jump from full to empty every minute I drive, my high beam doesn't work..., left headlight looking weak like it needed ground power to look bright..., and then finally when im in freeway going 65 mph it feels like the car loosing power like it gets sputtering sound like if it gonna die.... it only had new alternator and battery and battery cable wire too..... am I starting to have a really bad ground?
