Do HVLP guns shoot less overspray due to the less pressure? I used to rebuild large refinery-sized vacuum pumps and compressors, and the final step before shipping them out was to prime and paint them. Devilbiss guns, high pressure, and paint was everywhere. I bet less than half the paint ended up on the parts, the other half ended up on me and in my nose-hairs. Anyway, if I spend a little extra for an HVLP gun, will less of it overspray and more of it stick to the car? I want more on the car and less on the windshield, tires, floors, walls, and ME!
HVLP high volume low pressure..... anything you spray will get overspray everywhere.... but the trick is to turn the pressure down to where it will spray nicely.....and then take your time and paint waht you want....try not to spray away from the parts you are painting....but you will get overpray.....unless you havea good vent system that draws the paint downwards...
