i have a 302 from an early to mid 90s mustang. it had a cerpintine systom but is now it has been converted to standard v groove, carbed, mavericked, 302. this means that it has the old style, reverse rotation water pump, as well as the front mounted dip stick and bla bla bla! here is the problem. i need a double v groove pulley with 4 mounting holes. finding one with 3 mounting holes is easy but not helpful, i need double v groove with 4 holes. where the heck do i find this? it cant be that hard. :rant2:

the old style water pump is standard rotation. i think after 69 or 70 they used 4 bolt crank pullys on all 302s. somebody should have one that they would sell. ask for it in the classifieds if nobody offers one on this thread.

You'll also have to check that your timing cover water holes match the new water pump holes, Ford had a half dozen different versions/shapes. The 3- and 4-bolt pulleys share the same bolt circle diameter and at least one hole always matches up, so you can just drill holes in the pulley to match the damper where you need them. Or get an aftermarket damper like my Professional Products piece. It accepts 3- and 4-bolt pulleys, has timing marks for different timing pointer locations, and balance weights bolt in for 28 or 50 oz imbalance. I also needed to use a Pro Products pulley spacer to get my pulleys to align, $15 at the local speed shop.
