i got a gap?

    I did the small bumper swap . on the rear i have a gap is this right?

    The rear bumper should be pretty tight against the body unless you used 73 mounts.

    Been there done that. You used '73 mounts. The '73 mount is one the right...'71 on the left.

    i used the smaller mount but i still have a gap about 1". i tryed to post pic's but it says the files are to big

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    Bumper bent in the middle forcing the ends to stand too far off the body.A half inch gap is normal between the bumper ends and the body.More than that and you have some tweaking to do.

    I agree with Mavman! My bumper looked pretty good until mounted + then I could see that it was bowed in the middle causing it to stand out too far from the body. I'm still looking for a straight bumper so I can move on to the front to finish the swap. You can do a search where I posted about this problem with pics! Good luck with yours project!
