And I really didn't even want to consider it but it's a lot more solid than my Maverick and I actually can't even afford it unless I were to sell my Maverick. The owner wasn't there and I can't find it online for pictures. It's a '77 Mustang with some really crappy rough paint like it was painted under Arizona sun. And I'm not sure if it's a Cobra or King Cobra, but it does have the King Cobra front spoiler or bumper however that works. The hood scoop is a p.o.s. and I couldn't go off that, but it at least has a front opening. It has ttops and needs the seals, lower quarters need patching, and the liftback needs to be replaced because it's rotted. But all spoilers are there, it's a rebuilt 351m manual trans, power brakes and steering, no ac,(forgot to check for heat) junk interior because of the t-tops, wasted dash pad, old aftermarket aluminum wheels, and one taillight lense is broken.
Now my Maverick has your typical rust issues and I have already started some rust repair, but the car has bondo rust repair throughout it. Hood, fenders, doors, quarters bottoms and around the side windows, and the passenger side of the trunk drip rail is pretty rotted; not to mention there's some rot on the inside of the driver side drip rail, and then of course the cowl fresh air vents are gone I fixed the driver side part of the trunk already and still have to weld up that big hole I cut out under the drive side window. it's a 302 with headers, 3 speed manual brakes and manual steering, no heat no ac but it apparently did come with it. Gas jug for a gas tank, no radio
I have always wanted a Maverick Grabber and have one, plus they're more valuable, but I feel like I'll be a step ahead with that car. Only problem is affording it and finding out if it's a Cobra, King Cobra, or even a Mach 1. If not , f it. Another issue is sourcing parts.

The King Cobra Mustang II was a one year only (1978) deal.

Are you sure it's a 351m engine? That's a big tall heavy motor in a Mustang II.

    oh that's good to know.
yea it said 351m on the info paper he had in there. it's definitely a 351 though.
forgot to add that the price of it is $2k firm and he can't do trades. I remember seeing this car for $2500 on craigslist.

If its a 77...Its not a King cobra...Ford never put an M in the mustang IIs' Only windsor small blocks...If you think its tough finding parts for your mav...Wait till you try finding parts for that MII. Especially a good dash. Dude if you cant afford it...Dont do it, you will drive yourself nuts, trying to figure how to come up with the $$ let alone the disposition of your current project. They are neat little cars but tough to restore. Good luck!!!

I wouldnt think a 351m would fit in an M2. Also WHY??? You may find its a windsor. Engines get misrepresented a lot.

    Surprise he didn't say it's a Boss 302. That's a classic one around here. Everyone has a Boss 302. :rofl2:

yea it's pretty cool if it was a 351m, but I'm not liking the whole hard to find parts and some parts aren't made ordeal. my maverick will also have better mpg which is kind of a factor as well. I'd still love to have it though!

i've owned two cobras a 77 and a 78 stiil have alot of the parts from the 77 and the engine that came out of it is now in a 75 four door maverick i bought this past summer. ( almost on the road :bananaman) i luv the 70"s mustangs and think it's a hoot when you read all the mustang mags ( which i do ) and they never even mention the seventies cars, which i think is absolute crap! alot of us grew up with those cars being the muscle car of our youth. i'd buy another one in a flash and look online for them all the time. so i say if you like it and have the money buy it but they are hard to find parts for and are getting harder and harder to find so don't expect to find parts or parts cars easily for them so take that into consideration before your purchase. good luck with that or your maverick.:dancing:
