Tomorrow... Well, actually I'm going to prime it. Black. I will take before and after pictures. I would like to wait and take out all the dents. There are a few large ones. But she is my every day driver. And the faded original white paint job/rust color that she is now just ain't cutting it. She need a temp face lift.
    Wish me luck...:yup:

As long as you tape everything up good and take your time you'll be fine. I painted my work car flat black and it looks great. Good luck! (y)

Primered cars look way better than multi color cars. Good Luck.

    Sorry Frank :D

If you put it on pretty good,a wash job with a Brillo pad will usually get rid of alot of those streaks vs. wet sanding.Better for sure though!

It took about 10 1/2 cans. 2.5 Coats of paint to look decent.

    A. I recommend getting a paint can handle. It was a life saver.
    B. Try and find a paint brand that has the wide angle spray adapter.
I used a regular type, and it was a bitch to make it not look tiger striped.
Hopefully sanding will take care of that.
    C. Use a garage... I don't have one so I had no choice. Dude...If it is in the air, it is on your car.
    D. Add 1-1.5 cans for door jams ect.
    E. Patience on the prep (especially the masking) will pay off.
I was starting to rush toward the end, and it kinda shows a bit.
But hey, thats how you learn.
    F. Don't shake the spray paint can for 2 min... No matter what spray paint pro guy on a youtube video tells you. 1 min is perfectly freakin fine! As you can see in the pictures, one of the cans on the side of the trash can is upside down. Thats because it freakin almost blew up on me. Popped the bottom of the can clean out. But the safety pressure indent in the bottom prevented explosion. Thus it is upside down, due to the fact it is now oval. LOL

    G. Thats all I can think of at the moment.
Any more questions about success or screw ups in my first attempt at painting a car, please feel free to ask!
