i really need info

    whats good

    i just got a 1972 ford maverick with a v-8 engine and the car hasnt been up and running in 5 yrs and im trying to get it running but cant find parts that i need and i need help bad

    second thing i need is im looking for a fuel sending unit but cant find anyone that has it. i was wanting to know sense i cant find it, is there a fuel sending unit that i could use that will fit and work non my car ?

    not sure yet trying to get it cranked to see how to sounds and to see what i need up under the hood i havent took the engine out yet but i plan to

    if it has been sitting uncranked, you may want to take the plugs out and oil all the cylinders then spin it a couple of times and put them back on. also empty out the carb of any old fuel\sludge. Good Luck! :)

    does it have the original points distributor? if so you might check the dwell and gap of the contacts. they are cheap to replace so it might be better to just go ahead and give it a tune up.

    hey all, how is it going? I am new to this site. mav and comet lovers are a dying breed so its nice to know that i am not alone. i own a couple mavs and some other odd ball ford cars. i own my own business WM Performance Automotive. i am an authourized dealer of lots of companies and parts. i have alot of parts i am getting rid of for cheap to get them out of my way. i look forward to getting to know you all and sharing pics and info.
