    Here's the back story:
I found this Maverick Rear Defogger Assembly online, but the wording was slightly altered to say "Defroster". Maybe that led to less searches finding it...not for sure. This was not on ebay.
Anyway, I asked the owner if anyone else had tried to purchase it before me, and he said that one other person did, but was not willing to just send a check, without the owner having a paypal account.
So I am sorry that it did not work out for whoever that was, but I decided to take a chance and send the guy a postal money order for $ 150.00. These are getting very rare to find in this condition for that price!
I asked how he came across this item, and the owner, in Dearborn Michigan (Ford Corporate Headquarters), went on say that he bought his house from an old Ford Engineer, and that he found it in his basement. He said there is other stuff too and that he will let me know if he finds anything else.

I also posted a pic of an NOS spherical AC Vent for my upcoming restoration that I am accumulating parts for.

Here are some pics of the NOS spherical AV vent that I found:

If you look close, the below pic shows the gap where the felt lining, that keeps the AC Vent tight, is at. The pic also shows the crimp, in the metal ring, that holds the assembly together. I saw on another post where one of our members drilled this out carefully, and replaced the sticky-back felt, with new, for tightening his AC vent.

Awesome find! They seem to be more common up here in the north, but still NOS is cool!

Thanks Dave. Now, if I could just find the elusive Black Bezel with AC and Rear Defogger:

Yes, this is an NOS Mint Black Bezel with AC and Rear Defogger, taken from a site that sells old stock. Not Ebay, and not craigslist.

Unfortunately, some other lucky devil got it before I could! They apparently have not taken it down from their stock list yet. This is the same place that I bought my NOS spherical AC vent from.

What's funny is that they had these parts listed under "Falcon" parts. Ha! I believe the NOS AC center dash double vent is gone too.

So if anyone has the black bezel with AC/Defogger I am interested like a hundred other guys. :)

Oh! I was that lucky guy, I was going to send you a link to their web site if you were still looking for one. I looked and saw that they still had one listed so I assumed they had more. I bought that thing several months ago. It should have been removed by now. I found it doing a google part number search. Good luck ... Bob

Part numbers with a DZ were used for Falcons before the Mavericks came out. I think they were assuming Falcon since the part number has a DZ in it.

You can make one of those, easily. Just find an regular one with the defrost, and swap the lens with a A/C one.

What a great find Bob! Now if I can find a black one without AC, but with rear defogger, I know where to get a black NOS one with AC/without the defogger, to use for converting.

Yes, some of the best places to find NOS parts is where the seller is not that knowledgable about them. Listing them as Falcon parts was funny!
