I have a issue... my maverick still sags to the driver side... It has all new springs... I've replaced all the bushings... I've taken it to a chassis shop and straighted the chassis down to 1/32" than I took it to a couple more shops for second oppenions and the like and thay all said that everything looks ok... door spacing is good panel alignment is good... I don't know where else to look... I just want my car to sit level... David

weight distribution? tire pressure? tire size and wear? obvious but overlooked things like that...?

I already figure that if I swap my rear springs and it doesn't even up, I will shackle the rear springs until they are even. Cutting one or the other until even. If it is 1/4" longer on one side, nobody would know, except me, and everyone on this forum, now (y)

Is it lower on the front and back, or just one or the other?

I swapped my front springs, and went from 1-1/2" low on driver side to less than 1/4", and that is likely due to an unevenly worn tire on the front (bad allignment). The rear is still off by about 3/4". So, I will learn from what you find out and report.

Swap the springs and see if the sag follows the spring. Some places that sell springs verify they are equal spring rates before shipping.

My car was sagging on the passenger side following some drag racing. Turned out my U-bolt was loose on the passenger side and allowed the plate on the bottom of the leaf-spring where the shock mounts to go cock-eyed ... Straightening the plate corrected my problem.

Tire presure is equal. rim sizes are equal left to right. the differance is most obviouse in the front but the back is off as well. I swapt the front springs when I had theme out for my front disk conversion and it did'nt affect it at all.

Did you get new shocks when you replaced the springs? Also, how do your front tires wear?:hmmm:

Also, give us measurements. You better be getting us excited for something more than 1/8"

    I've had a few
Mine is about 2 inches lower on the passenger side to. Just enough to be able to see it. I figgure it's probably the original springs though.

Years ago I had another unibody car that sagged, mostly noticeable from the rear. New springs front and rear, tried different shackle lengths, cut one front coil down. Nothing worked. Guy at a chassis shop said the subframes underneath were within tolerance but that the unibody was twisted and he couldn't do anything about it. Might start crumpling sheetmetal quarter panels or roof. Guess that's what happens when you put a V8 in a Pinto.
