If you use the search function in the second bar at the top of the page you will find all kind of pointers on your swap - you will even find a tech article on it.

I knew that befroehand. However, I didn't know if there are differences between converting a 200 inline 6 and a v8 from auto column to floor shift. I couldn't find a topic with an answer to that question. But I'll go and read that tech article though.

    Cheers!

    Ralf,
The column shifter and "beauty ring" have to be replaced to make it look like stock. If you don't care about the look then you can just remove the shifter arm and leave the rest in place. You will have to relocate your neural start switch to the shifter - back-up switch too.

    Thanks for the info.

BTW, will I encounter any problems with the bench seat? I want to keep my bench seat but I do notice that the seat may cause a problem? Or will it clear without no probs?

Just saw some of your posts. Thanks for the info there. I will admit though I'm still a bit lost about what parts I need to round up. I'm probably going to by the first stuff I linked to.

I was looking around and came up against these --> http://sacramento.craigslist.org/pts/1713419567.html

Will it matter if it was from a Three on the tree shifter? Can that stuff still be used if I want to convert to a floor shifter?

The T5 has a built in back-up switch (because it has a built-in shifter) and you really don't need a neutral switch.
