I got a 75 maverick. Im tryin to do my homework on trading out my 250 for a 302. the 302 is in the shop gettin rebuilt and bored .030 over. I got a c-4 tranny too from x-mas from my bf. He wants to help me put in the 302. Im wondering what i should do as far as driveline or drive shaft. I think im gonna get a 8in rear end cuz all the 9inchers r taken here :p. i know my drive line from my 250 wont work, but i dont know where to get one from. Any help will b welcomed thanx.

You dont even need to change the bell housing. The 250 and 302 are the same. Just pull the 250, change the frame mounts, and drop in the 302.

What about the crossmember? She'll need that too, right? A 3-row radiator would be a good idea also...

The trans crossmember isnt a necessity, its just good to have for exhaust clearence.

well i changed out the radiator for a heavy duty 3 row last year.

I didnt know the straight 6's came with 8in already. all im askin about is will my straight 6 driveline work with the 302 and c4 i got. i know i will have to change out the u-joints, i did one a year ago cuz it went out on me, bearings were pure dust inside.

i dont know what year the 302 i got is, i know its old like late 60's to 70's. I know it has a double rolling timing chain and windage tray lol. My bf and the bill my master engine rebuilder hand picked out my camshaft, so im a lil worried :p .

but all in all im just tryin to find out what i will need when i do the exchange in like 6 months. I got the c-4 from a 76 4dr maverick. apparently everything on it was rebuilt so im hoping the tranny was to. o dont worry i got the tranny crossmember for it to. thanx guys.

well sorry to say the cragers r gone. I got smoothies on it now. Dam they look fine (y) . But now the rear shocks have gone out and the back end is slamming down on my pretty tires and shreading them up so now i got to change them out, but luckily i fore saw this and order new gabriel hi-jacker air shocks for it, so it will have a mean rake to it. so yeah im gonan be one bass lookin girl driving one bad ass lookin mav.

o thanx guys for all the advice, im now steps closer to gettin my 302 in then i thought i was. now all i gotta do is pay off the money i owe on it ($240 on a $600 rebuild) and get the baby in.
