1974 Maverick I bought for $500 8 years ago when I was 16. Since then I have invested $30,000 into it.
There is a big car show in South Jersey that takes place 1 Friday a month the whole car show season. Its sponsored by Rolling Rods and takes place at a Fudd Ruckers and Walmart on RT. 42 in I believe its considered Turnersville. I go pretty faithfully and am usually the only Maverick attending. Sometimes my buddy Dave comes w/ his under construction which is cool. If we could get a few there and all go in at the same time I think Rolloin Rods would be amazed to see so many Mavericks together. There is a little alterior motive. When I go some people say thats a nice car, you dont see too many people interested in these things anymore. AHHH! You callin my Mav a thing! I think its a beautiful machine. Sorry got a little emotional. Anyway wanted to see if Scott thought this was cool. The first show is coming soon and ill post the date when I get the flyer. Thom

    i'll go

hey guys. i'll go,just say when. i live by great adventure, but work in mount ephraim, only 20 mins from turnersville. i have a really sweet 72 grabber clone. so i am in.
there is also a big car show the last friday of the month at the great adventure outlet malls, right next to great adventure, and right off of interstate 195. last summer there were over 1300 cars there, and i had the only maverick. it would be nice to see you guys there also.
the swap meet at englishtown has the car show on saturday, and the last 5 years or so i have been the only maverick there.(it is green). there used to be a blue grabber that went there, but i haven't seen him in years.
so let me know. we should all get together for at least one of the shows.
ps. there is also a car show at atco in the fall. it id catching on,as last years the turnout was twice the year before.(about 50 cars). we should hit that one too.
glad to see some jersey guys. keep in touch.---george

Cool, Im glad to see you guys are in, I cant wait. The first show is coming up soon. As for times cars start to show up around 5-5:30pm. It doesnt really start hopping till around 7pm. I usually get there pretty early. Ill wait at the Acme if we all want to drive in together. George, That sounds cool too. I know right were that is b/c my Union meetings are in Asbury and i always drive right by there. This show isnt as big as the one you are talking about, This is usually about 300 cars but still good show. Im up for Great Adventure. Thom

I'd be interested in the Turnersville show... I'm in the Swedesboro area so it's only about a half hour drive for me. Just post dates and times when you know!

    Sam :)
