DId you replace just the key tumbler, or the portion that has the rod that goes down the steering column?

I just replaced the tumbler I tried to turn it everyway. Moved the rod up and down .Still nothing. Do they make diffrient switches for locking and non locking columes?

probably. I don't see why they would put the locking mechnism in a switch that has no need of locking.

Can you still use something to push the pin in to release the tumbler?
