Definitly more than 500. I don't know an exact number, but it would be all Mavericks made between March 1969 and August of 1969.

I don't know if there are any concrete production facts on the 69.5 cars. They were never really listed as 69.5 cars, but as 70s. Only the true Maverick buffs know of the distiction between the two. Craig Selvey, starter of the 69.5 Maverick Registry, will probably post more info for you. The numbers of production for the 69.5 are small, as you know, but I don't know if any specific number is known for sure for the amount made.

If the ignition is on the dash and not the column, it is a 69.5 car.

I believe on the title it's listed as a 70 because people don't know they existed as 69.5.

My car is a 69.5, and has a consecutive no. of:21680. Think it was made in June of 1969.

Ford never promoted these cars as a 1969 1/2. They were promoted as an "early" 1970 model: The first car of the 70's at at a 1960's price" or something like that. Only us hobbiest have bestowed the 1969 1/2 moniker on those cars.

BTW...I have the 1970 Ford Maverick Grabber Registry....nothing to do with the 1969 1/2 cars.

So yes...you have a 1969 1/2 Maverick. What does that mean in the big scheme of life??? Not much :)
