Right now I have a pioneer deh 24ub installed bitbthe illumination light didnt work so I never had it wired up. I jus got an alpine cda 9855 and not sure where illumin. Wire goes to. Doesnit get wired with the 12volt or the switched?
Is there any other wire?????????. I didnt ask if it was fixable. Im not capable of fixing it. IS THERE ANY OTHER WIRE?
Nvm thts not the wire fried...but there 2 of them. Going into one connecter...but obe of the blue wires arent connected to anythong in other end
Repairing wireing is part of old car ownership. The blue with red tracer is the wire for dash lighting, the factory harness should have a plug to the radio. You could always tie it in to the power wire to the radio, it would just be lit anytime it was on.
Well I was lookin at rong wire. Its not fried. But anyone got an idea bout how the two blue and red wirws connect to one connector. But one of the cords isnt connected to anythong?
You will find lots of connectors that aren't hooked to anything! They are put there for optional accessories. Ford made one wiring harness for all the cars. They do differ depending on the year, though.
I can read. I know you didn't ask. The proper fix for a burnt wire is to find the short and fix/replace the wire. If your not "capable" of fixing it maybe you should take it to someone who can before you burn the car down. Being that you have discovered a burnt wire hopefuly it wont become an issue.
