I got in this afternoon after a couple of days in the Smokie Mountains. Can't see getting that close and and not head into the higher/cooler elevations!

Thanks again Tom for letting me leave Darryl's car behind so I could climb the windy roads without a Maverick following close behind!

Old Guy: Sorry I didn't make contact with you! By the time I got to the middle of Arkansas, I had to put the pedal to the medal to keep my schedule. I took some US two-lanes south in TN and they just aren't as fast. Very scenic, though!

Chris: Thanks for helping me on Darryl's tranny leak. Couldn't have made it down the track without the repair!!

Sorry to everyone, if I wasn't as sociable this year! Next time my car WILL BE FULLY ASSEMBLED so I can socialize!!!

    We had a great time!!!!

    Let's go Rick! (y)

You should have suggested a caravan this afternoon before I unpacked. I could have easily headed back right now. The only problem I see is my obligation for work! :hmmm:

Your Maverick going to be ready next July?

Glad to hear you made it home ok Doug, the Smokies ae great...we spent an extra day in Pigeon Forge on the way back...I think Katie made a fast friend in Darryl... I doubt anyone thought you unsociable...if it's one thing we Maverick/Comet owners understand it's scrambling to get a car ready..:drink:

    Doug,

Glad to hear you made it back ok. You've sure put some miles on the truck in the last couple of weeks! I showed the license plate to one of my daughters and she really liked it. She wants me to find somewhere around here that makes them so she can have one made up.

    Hope your trip was uneventful!

I hate that 'W' word myself. Bosses can be so not-understanding at times.

And 'YES', my Maverick will be ready by next Roundup. I'm headed over to my buddie's garage to get it this morning. It starts right up before the crank makes one revolution and sounds GREAT! VROOOM! VROOOM!

This will be the first time the Maverick has moved under it's own power in at least five years (three of which I've had it). Wish me luck!

Glad your back safely. Sounds like you had a great time.

Always the first one there and the last to leave. One year I'm gonna do the same. Sounds like fun.

Old guy hasn't logged on here in a while, not sure what's up. I know him in person so if you need me to relay a message to him, I will.
