i was jus gonna throw the idea out there instead of using the same ol cars at the same ol shows. why not use some of us guys who aren't fortunate enough to have money or time to make showcars out of ours and attend these shows. use our back yard photos that were proud of. the cars that show our dedication and how proud we are to be maverick/comet owners

Thats how it is already..... You take whatever pictures you want send them in to the calender maker and then they decide whether or not to put you in. There were project cars in the 2010 calender.. Actually gene couldnt get many people to send in photos.

Gene did that in the last calendar. Had quite a few project cars and drivers in the calendar that arent show cars. It has to be a variety of cars.

It's a good idea. I don't know how good it would be if ALL the cars were in back yards. If it could follow a theme of some sort maybe it could be pulled off. I still have an idea I think maybe is kinda what you might be thinking. I have wanted to do a "Jackstand" calendar. All of the cars would be on jackstands and in progress. I have mentioned it before. I had named it "Jackstand Dreams". I mentioned it in a poll to see what people wanted so the last calendar ended up being a little of each of what everyone thought would be cool. So, in respect to your idea, yes, it's a good one. Just needs to be presented with a theme, that is my opinion. for what it's worth.

i agree with all of you. especially about the theme. it just seems like the only calenders and pictures i see are of finished top quality cars. i like cars that are under consruction. it adds more feeling to it having seen the work and time being put into a car. ita a passion. taking a car and dropping it off at a shop for someone to redo it for just isnt the same as you bleeding and sweating to make it what it is no matter the look

I would suggest putting one together and offering it up on here for sale. Let people vote with what really counts....their pocket book. (y)

I can testify that not all the cars in the calender are "Top quality show cars" Mine has 13 year old paint that i'm constantly touching up had 2 flourecent light bulbs fall out of the fixture and smash across the trunk lid a couple of years ago, just dabbed in the paint.I like many others thrash it down the dragstrip and drive it on the street regularally.
But the car photographs well. I wax and polish it all the time clean the chrome and keep the tires shining.
Bottom line is it's a clean driver that still needs finshing. Here's a pic of how it sits right now.
