When installing a Rear Grabber Spoiler, what sealer do you use around the mounting holes (windshield butel) ? What are the proper areas that sealer Should be applied to on the Spoiler, before mounting on the trunk? Thanks I want to do it right the first time.
From the factory, they just installed Dum Dum (or strip calk) around the holes, and when the spoiler is tightened down, it creates a good seal.
Get yourself a box of 3M strip calk part number 051135.-08578 . Its great stuff and works well with other things like your rear side marker lights. I used it last fall when I added a rear Grabber spoiler to my car and no water leaks at all. I also used it for the floor plugs under the carpet, taillights, and body trim when you don't want to see water in the car.
