an edelbrock rpm air gap with a 600 cfm doublpumper holley carb will work well. it will leave you room to grow into more motor mods like heads and cam.

A double-pumper not good for fuel economy, and is best suited for cars with a manual transmission.

A 600 cfm vacuum secondary (Holley) or air valve secondary (Edelbrock) carb is a better choice. If the engine is otherwise stock (cam, compression ratio, heads), a standard Performer (Edelbrock) or Action Plus (Weiand) intake manifold is all you need.

Intake ? Edelbrock Performer RPM, or Air gap, Weiand Stealth or Ford A321, top it with a 570 Holley Street Avenger. You do not want a double pumper Holley for a daily driver, unless you just like buying gas. The Performer 289 intake ? you're better off buying a used stock 4 bbl intake for $50. The ones I listed above will allow you room to grow on for furture mods while still keeping the same bottomend performance.

Just need a little more information on the motor, trans, and rearend before suggesting something....................................but if is mostly stock I'd have to agree with the 570/vacuum advance.
