This may be a dumb question. I have a chance to buy a dual carb intake for a 302. I've seen guys run this intake and adapt it for one carb. I know that a 1 inch spacer on a carb can sometimes help performance, so would a taller dual intake help with a single carb? Because I know I don't need dual carbs for my current setup. Just wondering! Thanks!

If the intake is a brand name and you can buy it at a good price perhaps buy it for future use as a dual quad unit. The problem then becomes getting the carburetors, fuel lines, linkage and air cleaner. Before you know it, you would have more money wrapped up in it than buying a brand new dual quad unit with all the accessories. That is probably why the current owner has it is for sale.

I would not buy it and adapt it for a single carburetor. It would be neither economical or efficient.

    Just my thoughts.

    Is it a tunnel-ram intake?

Unless you are making BIG HP you will never see the benefits of it,or maybe you just want the looks of it which is fine.
