My 4 door has the blue interior. I need to repaint the metal on the inside of the doors as well as do some minor re-dying to the armrests. Anybody know the specific paint & dye I need, color wise? The sticker is bleached out and there is no build sheet hidden in the car.
Well, I figured I could help you since I helped Maverick Man with the same sort of thing. Some how I missed this one before. Check out the site http://autocolorlibrary.com/cgi-bin/search/searchpic.pl?1976-ford-pg02.jpg Towards the bottom it lists the codes for "all combos ending with B" This is you. There is flat (codes ending in J) and all semigloss, that you need, end in G on the Ford code number. Hope this helps. -Corbin Also, depending on what material (doesn't matter for paint color, however) of your interior, your code would be as follows. These are 76 codes. BB - Blue - Cloth and Vinyl Bench HB - Blue - Tooled Vinyl Bench JB - Blue - Deluxe Cloth and Vinyl Bench KB - Blue - Deluxe Pleated Vinyl Bench PB - Blue (LDO) - Vinyl Independent Reclining Seats QB - Blue (LDO) - Cloth and Vinyl Independent Reclining Seats LB - Blue - Vinyl Bucket RB - Blue - Cloth and Vinyl Bucket For more decoding go to: http://www.iit.edu/~petebre/maverick/decode/index.html and click on your year.
Color Chips The 1976 color chips printed by PPG have the interior color codes on the back of the sheet. They can even mix it up in aerosol for you.
Get the dark blue from any Mustang supply house. Its the same color. I used it in my Sprint and the 77.
