I'm painting the inside of my '77 with satin black. That will go with any body color and you won't have to paint the interior the next time you paint the car.

Sound like a good combo Jim! If you want the dash to be the exterior color, I would also paint the inside doors and the A and B pillers body color. That will add a little brightness to the rest of the interior that will be black like the door panels, carpet, kick panels, seats and headliner.

    What paint are you using?

PPG bright yellow gold polymetallic base coat clear coat. PPG etching primer sealer. I was gonna paint my other 72 that color cause it was original code. This car is white but I already bought all the paint etc. Might as well use it.

In my opinion, all black interiors are boring. You need to add color and brighten them up.

I'm painting mine's all black too, but What do satin black look like? I want a black but I dont want that high gloss shine.

Yellow72Mavrick, vbmenu_register("postmenu_195521", true); that says okay. I'm glad the outside want be black.
