Not long ago I gutted out the interior to replace floorpans and treat rust. I am getting ready to redo and replace everything. The plastic front kick panels and the huge plastic panels that sit on each side of the rear seat (I don't know what they call them) are intact but they are scratched up and discolored badly. I think they used to be gold, but now they are some really nasty shade of brown. Any suggestions on how I can either get new panels or somehow re-finish the ones I've got? I also have a couple of armrests in that same nasty color that could use some help.:16suspect

    The kickpanels are easy...

...I prefer vinyl dye in a spray can after scruffing them up with steel wool.
If yours are dry and deteriorating. Skip the steel wool.

You should also clean them thoroughly with a mild soap and water.
BE SURE THEY ARE DRY. Let them sit in the sun and dry prior to painting. They are porous and will absorb water. I use adhesion promoter prior to painting anything plastic. It makes the paint/dye stick much better.
