Are Most-all Of The Interior Panels For The 2 Door Mav (70-77) The Same??? If Not Will Anything Work. That Also Includes Seatbelts????
The door panels are different from 72 or 71 from the later ones. The opener handle is attached to the armrest, throwing the armrest attachment points off, and the hole and attaching points for the opening latch. Not sure about the rest. I know the seat belts are different between early and late cars. Later ones bolt to the roof, older ones had lap only. Personally, I would like to gut my wife's 2005 mustang and take the dash, steering wheel, seats, and center console and install it into my maverick...I may start looking in the junk yards for wrecked ones.
if this is a bucket seat car the seat tracks are diffrent depending on if the car has a cat or not. benches are interchangable though. the early door panels cant be swaped with the later style without some modification to the door since you have to relocate the handle and other things, its still do-able though. since comets have pretty much the same interior you can also look there too.
as far as i know it is, unless there were slight style changes over the years, either way it will all go in. back seat too and rear shelf cover also work.
Front kick panels are different depending on: - Glove box or dash tray - Parking brake lever or parking brake foot pedal Rear pillar trim: If you are talking about the trim around the package tray....it is all the same except 2-door is different than 4-door. Headliners: 2-door and 4-door are different Rear quarter trim: If you mean rear kick panels, there are differences if; - Rear seat belt placement is either beside the seat of up thru the kick panels. - 1974 and up is different than the early years because of the front seat belts "spools" inside the rocker panels.
Here is a thread that shows the difference in the rear panels. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=4267&highlight=panels+101
