...with your car on a rented U-Haul triler?

Just wondering. That is all I can seem to find...

I'd doubt it'd be bad. It's the car that counts, not it's chauffeur sitting in the parking lot.

you do what you gotta do. i've seen u-haul trailers at the race track. after it's off the trailer nobody knows anyway. if it matters at all, get there a little early so you don't draw attention to yourself.:)

Unload your car down the street from the show, if you're concerned about it.:)

I know some people who have bought used trailers and dollies off of uhaul so even though the sticker is still on it they own it. I would have just assumed you owned it, It would seem kinda wierd to me to rent a trailer everytime you wanted to go to a show or the track

That's what I was thinking. I guess it depends on what kind of trailer everyone else in our convoy is pulling...

If the car isn't worthy of a trailer ... a U-Haul trailer adds insult to injury ... If it's a nice show car ... I couldn't care less if somebody used a U-Haul trailer ...

Hey you are there to have some fun and show your ride off, what other people think dont matter, you could have the nicest trailer in the world and people would still be little you because they think it is a trailer queen. Have fun and put your worries behind you

I forget the reason you're not driving it up there, Scott.

If the reason is because you do not have an Inspection sticker on it, take your chances.

If you DO get a ticket (which, more than likely, you would only get ONE), either pay it or get it inspected before going to court. The judge would probably dismiss the ticket.

Either way, it'll probably be a lot cheaper than renting a U-Haul and a lot less hassle.

If you need liabiility insurance too, you might be surprised how little the premiums are (with a high deductible) on these cars.

    Just a thought (and I haven't been :drink:ing.... this time. ;) )

The way I see it, who cares what the car arrives at the show in ( or on ). People are there to look at the show cars, not the trailer that brought the cars there. I went to a show once where a guy had one of those tiny little Crosleys, and he brought the car to the show in a horse trailer. Sure, it caught people's attention, but the trailer was quickly forgotten once the car was on the show field.

The car is completely street legal, it just likes to run a little hot on long trips. And this is definitely what I would call a long trip.

It would make it just fine, I just don't want to drive 4 hours with my eye on the temp guage. If it was February, I would drive it no problem. But right now, it is still 95 degrees outside, and will probably still be high 80s, low 90s at then end of next month.

If Ed is bringing a U-Haul, then I feel much better. Just didn't want the entire convoy to be hauling custom trailers, then I tag along with the ugliest car, on the cheesiest trailer.

For those who aren't aware, it is a Texas All-Ford meet in Waco, and if we can get enough Mavs there, they will start a new "class" and I think we have it this year, for the first time, I am not mistaken.

Have we got the minimum number "verified" to show to DAB? He needs to contact the show and get our class set up...

I'm not too familiar with car shows, is there an under construction class or something to that effect. I wouldn't mind entering my mav, but I know it is nowhere near "show qaulity" but it sounds fun and interesting to say the least.:D Anything to further the publics knowledge and awareness about a very unique vehicle(y)
